I’ve been thinking a lot about dreams lately. Not the sleeping kind (maybe I am not reaching
the right REM cycle…that’s a different issue I’m sure) but the living out of life
dreams! Not sure why as to be honest, I can’t
say that I have EVER been much of a dreamer.
I’m a realist through and through stuck in the land of here and now and
what if’s have no place. Kinda boring
really. Maybe it’s the recent dream of a
newly decorated home and the creative side (I never thought I had) coming
out.
Maybe it’s that I absolutely love
the show SMASH and that it’s all about living out dreams in the inspiring
lights of NYC.
Maybe it’s the superhero birthday
party I went to a few weeks ago for the Best Boy Ever. Maybe it’s the new Nicki Minaj song, “Starships
were meant to fly!”
Don’t you just love
that one? I ‘m not sure where these
thoughts are coming from but I am not going to push them aside.
My husbands always been a dreamer! Funny that!
He loves to play the What If game on long drives in the car. He works his dreams into conversations as if
they were reality. Though I tend to roll
my eyes at the “crazy” thoughts and dreams he may have, I actually admire him
for this quality. He dreams big and I
love that. I want that.
The more I ponder on this the more I realize that it is only
through dreams that Life can happen, real life.
Hope and Joy become tangible!
So bring on the dreams.
Childlike dreams that let me fly!
